Holistic Detox Email Challenge

Should You Consider A Detox?

Detox has become a buzzword associated with diet and clean eating. But what does it mean to detox and what are we detoxing from?

Despite the trendy-ness of detoxification, this is not at all a new tenant of natural health; our bodies detox naturally! Detoxification methods of healing date back thousands of years, and by definition is the physiological removal of toxic substances from within your body.

From air pollution and food pesticides, to toxic beauty chemicals, we’re bombarded by harmful materials every day. Most of the time, we aren’t even aware that our negative thoughts and actions may be harming our health, too.

So many of us get stuck in routines that aren’t beneficial to our health. That’s why I’m sharing my Holistic Detox Email Challenge, with the aim to provide quick everyday strategies that help you breathe easier, think clearer, and live better.

Educate Yourself and Improve Your Health

Did you know that your body naturally has the ability to remove toxins from your system? Your lymph and circulatory systems detoxify your individual cells, while detoxification on a broader scale is mainly carried out by your liver, kidneys, and intestines. Other organs such as your bowels, lungs, and skin also play a part in excreting toxins from your body.

However, these systems can only do so much without our intervention and support.

Currently, in the U.S. alone, there are over 80,000 chemicals registered for use with little to no testing. Additionally, the Center for Disease Control estimates that 80 percent of all illnesses have environmental and lifestyle causes.

Every day we encounter toxins in the air we breathe, the food we eat, the water we drink, and the products we use on and around our bodies, but there ARE steps we can take to protect ourselves.

Take the first step by signing up for my Holistic Detox Email Challenge.
